Since this blog is called Corina’s Concerns, it is obviously necessary to know who Corina is and what concerns her.
In terms of my identity, I am a 30-something Romanian woman with a 9 year-long experience in communication. I hold a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and Political Science and International Relations from the American University in Bulgaria (‘98), and I’m weeks away from completing an MBA at the Central European University Business School.
In the past, I’ve worked or consulted in communication (PR and marketing communication) for non-profit associations, trade (industry) representative associations, media, and various businesses. I’m currently employed as a marketing manager of a large multiplex chain in Romania, with responsibilities encompassing the whole array of marketing (not solely marcom).
Beyond my professional persona, I am a passionate dancer (predominantly salsa), and an equally passionate reader (predominantly fantasy), both topics that I will seldom, if ever, touch upon in this blog.
My blogging career started in 2004 with the first (to my knowledge) organizational blog in Romania, Doza de Responabilitate, a collective project under the umbrella of the Open Society Foundation, dealing with CSR. At around the same time, I started a personal blog on tango topics, titled Multiple Milongas. Only a few months later, I joined the PRwave project as author of the site blog, and wrote (on and off), until September of 2008. In October, I moved house to my own domain, and Corina’ Concerns was born, as a venue for a wider discussion of marketing, communication, in the larger context of management.
Topics are partly born from my own experience, or that of my colleagues and friends, and partly reflection spurred by other bloggers or current events.

Corina,
Who are you?
da-mi un semn! R
Corina,
I’m a follower and fan of your posts. I don’t think you have really “joined the conversation” yet as you seem to be following only 5 people. This media is a two way street. So far you’ve had over 1000 posts and still only follow 5 folks. I think you may be missing out on much of the opportunites for conversation.
I don’t mean to be critical, I’d just suggest you expand the list of folks you follow. It will inevitably lead to a large increase your message reach.
Respectfully,
Dave
